Dr. Arash Nikamal (aka “Dr. Nik”) joins the practice from New York, New York. He has years of experience in hospital medicine and urgent care medicine. Having lived in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, he prides himself in serving patients in the largest metropolitan communities in the country.

Earning his B.S. in biology from Loyola University Chicago, he then went onto medical school in Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine New York. Dr. Nik moved onto internship and residency at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital where he met Dr. Soufer. Dr. Nik joined Dr. Soufer as chief residents during their training together.

After residency, Dr. Nik spent 2 years working at Long Beach Memorial Hospital as a hospitalist. Serving the surrounding community allowed him to hone his skills treating highly acute patients in a level 2 trauma hospital. Dr. Nik now joins Dr. Soufer in their practice in Sherman Oaks.

Dr. Nik prides himself in being thorough yet focused in his medical care. He focuses on heart health, cholesterol management, diet and exercise planning, and diabetes management. Dr. Nik embraces new trends in medicine such as implementation of the Mediterranean and ketogenic diets to patients. He looks forward to continuing to serve the Sherman Oaks and surrounding areas of the San Fernando Valley and it’s patients with his robust and evolving medical expertise.
